    Article body:

Celestial Earth Knights is a science-fiction novel about a scientist named Sara Gail Weathers and a military man Captain Grant. They explore a new planet called Destiny for research purposes. One of the other main characters is named Matthew, a boy who lived in post World War III Chicago. It is a traditional story of light verses dark but with both a post-apocalyptic future, fantasy and science-fiction.

The characters are very insignificant compared to the lore and environment. There is so much going on it is hard to feel anything for the characters. The lore is amazing and greatly detailed but the characters have some basic personality traits with no bad traits to counter the good. The character development is nonexistent. Grant is the stereotypical good soldier, Prof. Weathers is a pretty blonde scientist filled with curiosity, and Matthew is just another chosen one. They need more character development.

The third person universal distances the characters from the lore and plot and the changes to the point of views of the other characters is jarring at best and confusing at worst. The best way to bring attention to the characters is to focus on one or two point of views whether it be Prof. Weathers for the Destiny point of view or Grant for that same one. Matthew would be the one for the earth point of view. Also bringing little pieces of the lore instead of explaining everything from the start.

To make the transitions of point of views easier do it by chapter or sub-chapter. The lore is rich, beautiful and well thought out. The amount of point of views lessens the strength of the lore.
